Col COLONEL JASON A. CAMILLETTI

Colonel Jason A. Camilletti is the Commander of the 48th Operations Group, Royal Air Force Lakenheath, England.  He is responsible for three combat-ready F-15 fighter squadrons, an operational support squadron, and 400 personnel capable of providing worldwide aerial dominance in support of war plans and contingency operations for U.S. Air Forces in Europe, U.S. Air Forces in Africa, U.S. European Command, U.S. Africa Command, and NATO. 

Colonel Camilletti received his commission from the United States Air Force Reserve Officer Training Corps in May 1999.  He commanded the 57th Operations Support Squadron, directed operations for the 8th Fighter Squadron, and served as chief of weapons and tactics for the 7th Fighter Squadron.  He has multiple tours flying the F-22 and F-15 serving as an instructor, evaluator, and operational test pilot.  Colonel Camilletti has deployed in support of Operations IRAQI FREEDOM and ENDURING FREEDOM, and he has flown homeland defense missions in support of Operation NOBLE EAGLE.  His staff assignments include duty as executive assistant to the Director for Operations, Joint Staff, Deputy Director of DoD’s In-Q-Tel Interface Center, airpower strategist, Chief of Staff of the Air Force’s Strategic Studies Group, and Headquarters Air Force Program Integration Division (as an intern). 

Colonel Camilletti is a senior pilot with 1,600 hours in the F-22 and F-15.
