Liberty Tours
The 48th Fighter Wing Public Affairs office offers tours of RAF Lakenheath when operations allow. Tours are held on Thursdays, between 1:30 p.m. and 4:30 p.m. They can feature a number of events, such as a windshield tour of the base, an organizational visit or a tour of an F-15 static display.
Certain conditions and restrictions apply to all base tours, which can be discussed once your request is received. Here are a few to consider:
- Tours are limited to groups no smaller than 15 and no larger than 35 people
- Tours are not provided to individuals, non-organized groups, or groups of children under age 13
- At least one adult chaperone per eight children is required with groups consisting of children that are ages 13-15
- Unscheduled tours are not allowed
