Questions > FAQ Topic

How do I request aviation support?

Aviation support includes flyovers, static displays and participation in air shows. It will only be considered for aviation-oriented events (i.e. air shows, airport anniversaries or dedications) or for patriotic observances held with formal observances.

All requests for U.S. Air Force flyover or static requests must be submitted to the Defense Attaché's office at the American Embassy in London.

To request aviation support, complete a DD Form 2535 - Request for Military Aerial Support and mail, e-mail or fax it to the Defense Attaché's office at:

Defense Attaché Office
U.S. Embassy
24 Grosvenor Square
London W1A 1AE
E-mail: DAOLondon@state.gov
Fax: 44 02078 940 726

How far in advance does my request need to be submitted?

Requests should be received no later than 60 days before the event/air show.

Will all aviation requests be supported?

No, due to mission requirements and the type of event, the request can be denied. If the U.S. Embassy deems the request appropriate, the request will then be routed through appropriate channels for approval.
