Thank you for your interest in visiting RAF Lakenheath. We always value the opportunity to connect with members of the public and share more about our mission. At present, all base tours are suspended for the time being. If you wish to visit in the future please go to Home page of RAF Lakenheath. Through this link, in the top right corner, click the tab "Schedule PA support", once re-routed click Public Affairs, agree to consent then enter your email. You will recieve a one time code (this may take a few minutes to recieve), the website will then take you through a series of directed prompts, make sure to select RAF Lakenheath when picking the service location and select 48th Fighter Wing Public Affairs for servicing team. For your service request make sure to choose "Tour Request." When asked for grade please scroll till you see "CIV." The final step is adding in your specific request/details in the "Additional Information" tab, from there the request will show on the Public Affairs booking system, where it will be reviewed by the PA team.

We are unable to give you our flight schedule.

There is a publicly accessible viewing area located just outside the base at the intersection of Wangford Road and A1065.

We are unable to release information regarding personnel or how to contact them.

We do not have the funding to acquire or mail squadron patches; if you would like to purchase one, you can find them online at popular unit patch manufacturers or purchase them from a squadron booster club when you see them at local off-base events.

The base hospital doesn't issue birth certificates, Birth certificates are issued off base at the County council's registration office, your parents should have then reported your birth to the US Embassy and get a Consular Report of Birth Abroad (CRBA)

This is how the process works:

- Baby is born on base, and the hospital gives a proof of birth (this is just medical paperwork or a memo)
- You go to the local county council office (probably Suffolk County in Bury St Edmunds, but if they lived in Norfolk then Norfolk County) registration office and register your baby for birth, this is where you get an official birth certificate
- You then take that birth certificate along with other paperwork and you report the birth to the U.S. Embassy in London, you will then get a Consular Report of Birth Abroad (CRBA) certificate, this can serve as your U.S. Birth Certificate that proves you are U.S. Citizen.

You will need to contact the local county registrar's office, the U.S. Embassy in London, or you can try and request a new CRBA online.
