Core Value Portrayed:
"Excellence in All We Do"

How does the individual portray that core value?
Kelsey continuously portrays excellence in all his tasks. His commitment to the success of maintenance flight support is evident in the section's safety, equipment and Precision Measurement Equipment Laboratory programs. He ensures the serviceability of more than $100,000 of aircraft test equipment. His tireless efforts were validated by a 100 percent compliant rating during the 2012 Unit Compliance Inspection, where he was personally lauded by the United States Air Forces in Europe inspection team for his accurate tracking of 231 mission essential assets.

Why is serving in the Air Force important to you?
I feel that serving in the Air Force has allowed me to grow personally and professionally. I also believe that serving in the world's greatest flying force is an honor that cannot be matched. I have enjoyed my time at RAF Lakenheath and serving in the United Kingdom. The Air Force has entrusted me with great power and with that power comes great responsibility. I accept that challenge!

What accomplishment during your Air Force career are you most proud of?
I loved being an Air Force recruiter, knowing that individuals I recruited might one day become great Airmen and future chiefs. I sought to enlist only the most enthusiastic young men and women that had the potential to be the USAF's next leaders.

What are your personal and professional goals?
My personal goal is to master a foreign language. My wife and I would really like to renew our vows in ancient Klingon. I continue to professionally grow by furthering my education. I am currently enrolled in the final two classes to complete my Community College of the Air Force Aviation Maintenance Technology degree.

What is your favorite part of your job?
The best part of my job is that when I come to work each day, I know that I am directly impacting the capabilities of U.S. airpower by issuing the tools to technicians that will wield them to maintain advanced, multi-million dollar F-15 aircraft. In this way I do my small part to ensure that we can continue to support and defend the freedoms of the United States of America.
