Tavares is very dedicated to performing her best in every aspect of her professional and personal life. Her constant dedication to excellence is steadfast and she is an extremely valuable member of at the 48th OSS Intelligence section. Why is serving in the Air Force important to you? Serving in the Air Force is important to me for numerous reasons. First and foremost, I've had to make myself the best person I can be. In just the short time I have been in the Air Force, I have already seen tremendous improvement in my morals, lifestyle, goals and passion for life. I have been raised in a fairly religious household and have been taught to always serve others, so in my eyes, what greater way to serve than to serve my country. What accomplishment during your Air Force career are you most proud of? Hands-down my proudest moment in my Air Force career was being hand-selected to brief the wing commander, Col. Robinson, continuous intelligence updates on a critical hot spot within the 48th Fighter Wing Area of Responsibility. What are your personal and/or professional goals? Some of my goals are typical of a young female. Of course, one day I want a great husband and healthy family. However, right now I want to live my life to the fullest. I also want to become the Chief Master Sergeant in the Air Force or a command CMSgt of a base. I want to be like the Air Force sergeants that have positively influenced me in my short career and be able to show other Airmen that they can achieve so much more than they may expect. I have fallen in love with the military and want to retire within my career field and after retirement, I want to eventually open up my own law firm. Throughout my service, I hope to accomplish a satisfying amount of education and use it to better my job and life, inside and outside of the military. What is your favorite part of your job? I absolutely love my job! My favorite part would have to be the opportunities we get as young Airmen to talk to senior leadership; the trust vested in us is what pushes us to continue to be great at our job and encourages us to excel beyond the basics. Intel is full of professional Airmen!
