Change to Spouse Tuition Assistance Program

The Spouse Tuition Assistance Program during the 2012-2013 school year will now be combined with the Arnold Grant program, allowing full time students an annual grant of $2,000. The deadline to apply is March 30. For more information, visit http://www.afas.org/Education/ArnoldEdGrant.cfm

New Allergy/Immunizations Clinic hours

The Allergy/Immunizations Clinic hours have changed to the following:

Mondays - 7:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.
Tuesdays - 7:30 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Wednesday - 7:30 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Thursdays and Fridays - 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Passport Issuance limitations for 2012

Due to the Olympics and Para-Olympics this summer, the Embassy will be heavily involved and will have reduced manpower. This will limit the ability to process passport applications. Passport issuance will be very limited, so if your passport is near its expiry date, apply as early as possible to get a new one.

Department of Defense Education Activity looking for feedback

DODEA is developing a new Community Strategic Plan for 2012-2016 and have launched a feedback website, http://cspfeedback.dodea.edu/ to gather opinions from parents, teachers, military leadership, children and anyone else that is interested.

Notebook Checkout

Going TDY or on a trip? Need access to the internet, email or Microsoft Office without lugging around a laptop? Check out a Toshiba notebook from the Library. SOCKS - Spouse On-Line Computer Knowledge and Skills

This is a free Airman and Family Readiness Center program designed to help spouses improve computer skills in Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Photoshop and many other programs. For more information contact the A&FRC at 226-3847 for more information.

Sunday Brunch

Visit the Liberty Club for a Sunday brunch from 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. on March 11. Prices are $17 for club member adults and $22 for non-members. For children ages 8 to 12, prices are $5.95 for members and $7.95 for non-members. For children ages 4 to 7, prices are $2.95 per child and for children 3 and under, brunch is free. Two Steppin' St. Patrick's Day

The Liberty Club will be hosting a country themed St. Patrick's Day celebration March 17 at 10 p.m. Entry is free for members and $5 for non-members. Open to ages 18 and up. For more information, call 226-1611.

Metal Mania
