Fall Sports Physicals for Teens The 48th Medical Group will be performing sports physicals for students, ages 13 to 18 participating in fall sports on Aug. 4 and 11. LAKENHEATH SCHOOLS Mentor Program at Lakenheath Elementary School The Lakenheath Elementary School is seeking adult volunteers to work one hour a week with third grade students in the Mentor Program. The program meets during lunch from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. every Monday. Mentors work one-on-one with students to foster achievement at school by building a positive, caring relationship. Activities include eating lunch together, doing 10 to 15 minutes of academic review, and then enjoying some social time, such as playing board games. Crosswalk Volunteers Needed Everyone in the community, including military, U.S. and Ministry of Defense civilian personnel, parents and contractors, needs to ensure children are kept safe while walking to and from school. Five volunteers are needed twice a day to ensure coverage throughout the high-traffic areas. The crosswalks are located near the Lord's Walk housing area, the housing office, the roundabouts by Liberty Intermediate School and Lakenheath Elementary School.
