Airman Stangret portrays excellence on a daily basis. He has hit the ground running since he joined the Air Force. Airman Stangret's many achievements include Basic Military Training honor graduate, Technical School top graduate and the First Term Airman Center Sharp Troop award. In addition, he has received his first Air Traffic Control facility certification in less than 70 percent of the allotted training time. Airman Stangret excels in all he does and sets a great example to fellow Airmen. Why is serving in the Air Force important to you? Serving in the Air Force gives me a great sense of pride. From basic training to tech school to serving in active duty, every step is a major achievement. There is no better feeling than serving your country. What accomplishment during your Air Force career are you most proud of? The accomplishment that I am most proud of is getting rated as an air traffic controller. What are your personal and/or professional goals? My immediate goals are to get Senior Airman Below-the-Zone and complete my Community College of the Air Force degree. Some of my long term goals are to earn my bachelor's degree and further my career as best as possible. I also am looking into earning a commission. What is your favorite part of your job? There are many things about my job that I love, but my favorite aspect is when you know that you are supporting a mission. You get a sense of real fulfillment knowing that you are helping the U. S. Air Force and the U.S. with a real mission. Also, by doing my job I am keeping everyone safe, especially when there are emergencies and tough situations.
