Carlon repaired the electronic warfare system components in a severely battle damaged aircraft, getting it flight ready in less than 50 hours. This action directly led to him receiving the prestigious Sikorsky Award. When faced with a tough task he never gives up and that ethos is spread to those younger Airmen around him. Why is serving in the Air Force important to you? Job security and I can make a difference. What accomplishment during your Air Force career are you most proud of? I am most proud of being on the first ever deployed helicopter maintenance unit to an active war zone since the Vietnam War. What are your personal and/or professional goals? I'd like to achieve my master's degree in business administration and score perfect on my Physical Training test. What is your favorite part of your job?
