How does the individual portray that core value? He tackles challenges with zeal and confidence. He is extraordinarily motivated, inquisitive and dedicated to excellent service in every regard.

Why is serving in the Air Force important to you?
Both my father and grandfather served in the military and always expressed how important the defense of civil liberties was to them. This is equally as important to me, and I wanted to serve my country as my family has done for more than three decades.

What accomplishment during your Air Force career are you most proud of?
I've had many opportunities already to step outside of my comfort zone and learn a lot of things beyond my career field. When our squadron is deployed, I work in our tactical operations center as the radio transmission officer; I help launch our aircrew to meet tight timelines when they are responding to save injured U.S., Coalition or Afghan forces anywhere our area of responsibility in Afghanistan.

What are your personal and/or professional goals?
I plan to pursue my bachelor's degree in musical engineering or business management as soon as I complete my Community College of the Air Force degree. In the future, I would love to serve as a military training leader or first sergeant. I very much admire and respect the dedication and service I've seen MTLs and first sergeants display. I want to be able to inspire and help young Airmen once I'm an NCO.

What is your favorite part of your job?
Being in a rescue squadron, I've had the opportunity to learn aspects of my job that other Airmen may only hear about in technical training. Working with helicopter aircrew and pararescue, I've experienced early in my career what my peers may not even have the chance to do in their entire careers.
