Tiffany Lott Unit: 56th Rescue Squadron Duty Title: Aircrew Flight Equipment Technician Time in Service: 7 years Time at Lakenheath: 1 year, 6 months Hometown: Houston, Texas Hobbies: Horseback riding, reading, arts and crafts Core Value Portrayed: Excellence in All We Do How does the individual portray that core value? Sergeant Lott excels in every way! She pinned on staff sergeant only a short time ago and is already serving as a dynamic leader and supervisor. Her work is always flawless and she trains and challenges others to live up to her technical expertise. Why is serving in the Air Force important to you? I had multiple family members who served in both the Army and the Air Force and I'd always loved the military, but chose to go to college first. Shortly after 9/11, I made the decision that I wanted to serve my country during what I knew would be a very difficult time. What accomplishment during your Air Force career are you most proud of? I'm most proud of my first deployment; I went to Sather AB, Baghdad, Iraq, in 2006. The tasking was for Third Country National escort duty, but I got to do so much more than that. I had the amazing opportunity of volunteering at an orphanage, the medical facility and the morgue while there. My experience with the Iraqi people was extremely motivating, inspiring and fulfilling. What are your personal and/or professional goals? I plan to obtain my master's degree in criminal justice. I will soon complete my 7-level Career Development Course and have hopes to be a chief master sergeant one day. What is your favorite part of your job? Knowing the equipment that we maintain and inspect is used to save lives. It is a huge responsibility but an honor to have.
