Lakenheath Community Bulletins Published Oct. 28, 2010 ROYAL AIR FORCE LAKENHEATH, England -- School Volunteer Opportunities Lakenheath High School is looking for base personnel (military, civilian, and spouses) to represent their alma mater on Tuesday Nov. 30 from 6pm to 8pm. This event is a great opportunity for high school students to become informed of a wide range of universities, financial Aide and scholarship options. The more base support received, the greater the opportunity for the students. For further information, please contact Ms. Jamie Henshaw at DSN 226-3015 or COMM 01638-52-3015 or Jamie.Henshaw@eu.dodea.edu. Adopt-A-Classroom This program is designed for a smaller group of people who wish to work with a classroom or in a specific venue of a school (volunteering for sports activities or school stores). These individuals can contact the School Liaison Office and indicate what teacher or activity the group would like to volunteer. The SLO will in turn make all the necessary arrangements to set up the opportunity between the desired classroom or activity. Finally, the SLO will re-engage with the small group to pass along contact information. This program allows small groups to become more involved with the children and allows the group to excel in a particular field rather than working on a large scale with the school. For more information, please contact the SLO at DSN 226-5077/5078 or COMM 01368-52-5077/5078. Adopt-A-School The Adopt-A-School Program is designed to encourage Units and Squadrons to adopt-a-school and volunteer their time in building a positive role-model relationship with the DoDDS Community. For more information, please contact the SLO at DSN 226-5077/5078 or COMM 01368-52-5077/5078. 2010 Flu Vaccine Schedule 2 November - 7am to 9am at RAFM North Side Gym 4 November - 7am to 9am at RAFM Hard Stand Gym 5 November - 8am to noon at RAFL High School (for all school students at RAFL, RAFM, & Feltwell, parents must be present for vaccine) 8 November - 2:30pm to 4pm at RAFL Gym 9 November - 7am to 8:30am at RAFL Building 1280 10 November - 6:30am to 8:30am at RAFL Strike Eagle Complex 15 November - 8:00am to noon at RAFL High School (for all school students at RAFL, RAFM, & Feltwell, parents must be present for vaccine) 17 November - 2:30pm to 4pm at RAFM North Side Gym 22 November - 2:30pm to 4pm at RAFM Hard Stand Gym 29 November - 11am to 1pm at RAFL M&PF 30 November - 2:30pm to 4pm at RAFL Gym Mentor Program at Lakenheath Elementary School LES is seeking adult volunteers to work one hour a week with third grade students in the Mentor Program.
