Combined Federal Campaign Thus Far... Published Oct. 20, 2010 By A1C Tiffany M. Deuel 48 FW/PA ROYAL AIR FORCE LAKENHEATH, England -- RAF Lakenheath has raised a fair amount for the Combined Federal Campaign, but more donations are needed to meet this year's goal. "For this week, we are 43 percent below our historical contributions!" said 2ndLt. Khalisha Savage, 48th Comptroller Squadron budget analyst. Whether it is $1 or $100, people are encouraged to donate whatever they can because money collected by the CFC is used in a multitude of charities. "The CFC has 2,300 charities that it supports, and about 100,000 or more people (military, civilian and even animals) that benefit from them. We definitely should give a helping hand to those who are less fortunate no matter how big or small that hand may be." said Tech. Sgt. Lashawnte Love, 48th Comptroller Squadron advanced programs clients systems section chief. There are various ways to donate to the campaign. Each squadron has an assigned CFC representative. However, the easiest way is to donate through E-Giving, which is using a credit or debit card to make a donation on-line at the CFC website. "E-Giving can be found on the CFC-Overseas website at www.cfcoverseas.org. Click on the Donate Now E-Giving option. All reporting units under RAF Lakenheath begin with 611. Please look for this number when searching for your assigned unit.", said Lieutenant Savage. The campaign is not due to end until December 15, so there is still time to make a difference through donating.
