MEDCEUR10 successfully closes Published Sept. 21, 2010 By Senior Airman David Dobrydney MEDCEUR Public Affairs DANILOVGRAD ARMY BASE, Montenegro -- The 2010 Medical Training Exercise in Central and Eastern Europe held a closing ceremony today. Almost identical to the fashion of the opening ceremony, exercise Co-Director U.S. Air Force Lt. Col. Brent Vosseller from RAF Lakenheath, England, called the formations of servicemembers from 10 participating nations to attention before making a few closing remarks with Montenegrin Army Co-Director Maj. Ilija Dakovic. "Congratulations to you all for everything you've accomplished in the last two weeks," said Major Dakovic. "I had high hopes for each country and individual and you exceeded my expectations... this is the MEDCEUR others will be judged against, past and future," he said. Colonel Vosseller thanked the Montenegrin armed forces for allowing the use of the base and all of their support during the exercise. "If it wasn't for their foresight and hard work, none of this would have been possible," said Colonel Vosseler, "and if there was a MEDCEUR hall of fame, you'd be in it, my friend," he said to Major Dakovic. The senior officers of each nation were invited to the podium to receive certificates of completion for the members of their respective units from Montenegrin armed forces Chief of Staff Col. Zoran Lazarevic, who then declared the exercise officially closed. Finally Colonel Vosseller called the nations to attention one final time. "MEDCEUR units, mission accomplished, well done.
