USAFE Finance Customer Service Survey
In an effort to evaluate trends and customers financial needs, USAFE is conducting a survey to measure how well USAFE Finance Offices are providing customer service and how well on-line tools and processes are working. They are seeking maximum participation and especially looking for customer comments and suggestions. The survey should take less than five minutes to complete, and this critical feedback will be used to make necessary changes to the financila services model in USAFE. Exceptional Family Member Program Fun Day
The RAFs Lakenheath and Mildenhall Airman and Family Readiness Centers, first sergeants, the Integrated Delivery Service and Education Development Intervention Services will host an Exceptional Family Member Program Fun Day on Saturday, September 25, from noon to 4 p.m. at the RAF Mildenhall Youth Center. This joint-base event is being held in conjunction with the Youth Center's 2010 Worldwide Day of Play. EDIS will have classes and workshops for dependents who are a part of the EFMP as well as workshops for the adults that will include stress management, nutrition, yoga and fitness and massage classes. There will also be games, a bouncy castle, petting zoo and the Suffolk County Play Bus for children. To register and receive a free T-shirt, contact the RAF Lakenheath Youth Center at 01638-525-437.

Men's Varsity Basketball Try Outs
The fitness and sports center will be holding men's varsity basketball tryouts 6 to 7:30 p.m. on Sept. 20-23 and Sept. 27-30. This is open to all active duty and DoD civilians 18 and older. Call 226-3607 for more details.

RAF Lakenheath Blood Drives
The Armed Services Blood Bank Center will be holding blood drives on Monday, Sept. 27 and Tuesday, September 28.
Times will be 0800-1600 (both days) and the location is at the main Gym (Bldg 904).

No Online Booking for Hotels
Effective November 1, 2010, online hotel booking agents that don't provide a detailed itemized receipt will not be reimbursed, even with a lost receipt form.

Fitness Boot Camp
Get in shape for the holidays with Fitness Boot Camp at the Fitness & Sports Center. Two sessions are available for this 6 week program from October 11 through November 18. Ages 18 and older are invited to participate. $300 per person. Call 226-3607 for more information

Crosswalk Volunteers Needed
With the start of the new school year everyone in the community, to include military, U.S./MOD civilian personnel, parents and contractors, need to ensure that children are kept safe while walking to and from school. Five volunteers are needed twice a day to ensure coverage throughout the high-traffic areas. The crosswalks are located near the Lords-Walk housing area, the Housing Office, the roundabout by Liberty Intermediate School and the Lakenheath Elementary School roundabout. Depending on location, the crosswalks are manned from approximately 7:30 to 8:10 a.m. and 2:30 to 3:10 p.m. To volunteer, contact the School Liaison Office at 226-5077/5078 or email 48MSG.CCL@lakenheath.af.mil.

Spouse Tuition Assistance
Applications are now being accepted for the Spouse Tuition Assistance Program (STAP). Visit the Education Office in Building 948 to pick up an application. Take advantage of this unique benefit to overseas active duty spouses. Call 226-3851 for more details.

Child Care Fee Policy Change
New fee ranges for Department of Defense child care have been created and will go into effect no later than Sept. 30. The ranges are based on family income and are as follows:
$125,000+: $137 - $139
$100,001 - $125,000: $134 - $136
$85,001 - $100,000: $131 - $133
$73,501 - $85,000: $122 - $130
$57,751 - $73,500: $106 - $121
$46,201 - $57,750: $91 - $105
$35,701 - $46,200: $75 - $90
$29,401 - $35,700: $60 - $74
$0 - $29,400: $44 - $59

Trespass Notice
The 48th Security Forces Squadron Combat Arms firing range complex that supports RAF Lakenheath and RAF Mildenhall is located at Building 230, RAF Feltwell. The range complex is in the southwest corner of the base and is surrounded by a perimeter fence clearly marked by danger signs. Hours of operation are 7:30 a.m. to 9 p.m., Monday through Friday. When firing is in progress, red range flags or red flashing beacons will be visible from all range complex entrance points. Unauthorized entry to the range complex is illegal and hazardous due to gunfire and airborne lead particles within the complex. DANTES Changes
Due to budget cuts, DANTES will no longer fund retests on CLEP and DSST exams. Current exam fees are $80 per DSST, and $120 per CLEP. DANTES will also stop funding certification exams as of October 2011.

Passport book - Adult (Renewal): $110
Passport book - Minor (Under 16): $85
Additional Passport/Visa pages: $82

Information regarding importing vehicles to the UK
The DVLA no longer requires military members to obtain an original hard copy of their insurance certificates for imported registration purposes. Personnel can now print their insurance certificates by accessing their policy online; however, faxed, photocopied or scanned copies are still not accepted.
