Core Value Portrayed: Airman Carranza continually portrays all three core values: Integrity First, Service Before Self and Excellence In All We Do.

How does the individual portray that core value? Airman Carranza is always the first to volunteer for extended shifts and weekends for aircraft maintenance and other opportunities. No matter what he is involved in he has consistently delivered the best quality maintenance and outstanding effort. He is placed among our most dependable employees and can be counted on for any tasking and request; this has earned him the 48th EMS Bulldog of the Month Award. He is a very valuable asset to the United States Air Force and we are honored to have him working for us here at RAF Lakenheath.

Why is serving in the Air Force important to you?
It has given me a sense of purpose, taught me how to be more responsible and helped me build character. I am also thankful for all that it has provided for me and my family.

What accomplishment during your Air Force career are you most proud of?

My greatest accomplishment is graduating Basic Training. I knew the first night that if I finished my 6-week training, I would be able to accomplish anything and start a new and positive chapter in my life.

What are your personal and/or professional goals?
My personal goal is to get my degree and teach after I retire. My professional goal is to make Chief one day and be a good role model to all my fellow airman.

What is your favorite part of your job?
My favorite part of the job is performing the actual aircraft maintenance, knowing what I do on a daily basis supports the war efforts here at home and abroad. This job has afforded me the chance to travel all over the world to exciting places and meet new people. I wouldn't trade this job for anything else.
