Airman Cochran has taken over the 48th Fighter Wing Special Security Program. This position was previously filled by a master sergeant. She is the first Airman to hold such a position. Airman Cochran has stepped up and excelled at taking charge of the program. She immediately began inspecting, updating and organizing personnel records, disposing of excess equipment and updating access rosters all while continuing to tackle the day-to-day security clearance information in-/out-processing demands of base personnel. Why is serving in the Air Force important to you? Everyone should be able to protect and serve your country whether in the service or out, knowing that all the efforts you do at your job make it just that much safer for your family. What accomplishment during your Air Force career are you most proud of? Transitioning from one career field to another and being able to tackle the challenges that came with it. What are your personal and/or professional goals? First and foremost, is obtaining my 5-level and after that it is finishing my Community College of the Air Force degree so I can go on to a bachelor's. What is your favorite part of your job? The people who work with me and the knowledge that every day is another challenge.
