Kyle Irish Unit: 48 Comptroller Squadron Duty Title: NCO In Charge of Special Actions, Financial Services Flight Time in Service: 6 years, 6 months Time at Lakenheath: Since April 2008 Hometown: Conneaut, Ohio Hobbies: Bowling and all sports, plus traveling. Core Value Portrayed: Service Before Self How does the individual portray that core value? Staff Sgt Irish portrays "service before self" every day, to every customer he meets. His selfless attitude towards our customers doesn't stop when the doors close on the front counter. He sets aside his work tasks to actively assist all customers, whether newly assigned or just handling a problem. He is the residential expert that finance Airmen actively seek out as a trainer and as a mentor. Why is serving in the Air Force important to you? To know that only a few people in the U.S. population are allowed to join the military makes it an honor to serve my country. The military community is a great family environment to be a part of and my military career is a great learning experience. Although, I have not been tasked to deploy yet, I feel better knowing that I am assisting other deployed military members. What accomplishment during your Air Force career are you most proud of? I'm most proud of making Senior Airman below the zone. Not everybody can make this and I was fortunate that my supervisor took the time to put me in for this. It shows that you have something more than the rest. What are your personal and/or professional goals? My goal is to complete my CCAF and move on to my Bachelor's degree. What is your favorite part of your job? Customer Satisfaction.
