Liberty Wing recognizes resource advisor award recipient Published Feb. 3, 2010 ROYAL AIR FORCE LAKENHEATH, England -- The 48th Fighter Wing Resource Adviser of the Year for 2009 was awarded to Mr. Eric Alber, 48th Operations Group, Jan. 19. Mr. Alber was awarded this honor for his numerous contributions to the 48th FW mission. He researched and instituted a new cell phone contract within the 48th OG that was later instituted by other base units, saving the 48th FW more than $100,000, as well as justifying $250,000 of assets and training for the 56th Rescue Squadron in support of their first combat deployment in 37 years. His efforts led to procurement of the $100,000 F-15 after action debrief system, secured $13 million to upgrade air traffic radar from United States Air Forces in Europe and $50,000 for the 493 Fighter Squadron live gun shoot to help train the only USAFE unit to safeguard the president.
