ROYAL AIR FORCE Lakenheath, England -- In the early hours of the morning, the 48th Security Forces Squadron deployed approximately 40 security forces members to Southwest Asia. More than one third of the team's members are first-time deployers. Other Airmen are deploying for the seventh time.

Liberty Wing leadership briefed the Airmen and wished them a safe journey. Col. Cassie Barlow, 48th Mission Support Group commander, summed up success down-range in three points: "Do your job well, be safe and take care of your battle buddy."
