Holiday card contest Published Dec. 2, 2009 ROYAL AIR FORCE LAKENHEATH, England -- Brought to you by the 48th Civil Engineer Squadron. Rules: - One entry per squadron - Please indicate your squadron name, POC and phone number on the lower left side corner, back of card. - Card kits available for pickup starting Thursday, Nov. 12 at the base CE Structures Shop, bldg. 1127 (POC Staff Sgt. Fruth, 226-6161). The kits will include a 4x8 sheet of plywood and 2x4 braces. - There are no electrical capabilities, but CE will spot light the cards during periods of darkness. - Each squadron or organization is responsible for paint and other materials used to decorate their card. - Each squadron will be responsible for setup and tear down of their card. - Each squadron or unit POC is responsible to check on their display and insure that it is kept presentable; including re-standing when the wind knocks it over. - Cards will be set in place on Thursday, Dec. 3, between 10 a.m. to noon; a CE representative will be on sight to assist at that time. - The cards will be displayed on the roundabout located between the hospital and the BX parking area, Dec. 3 through Jan. 4. - Cards will be judged before Dec. 4 and the winner announced at the Tree Lighting Ceremony. - Cards will be judged on both Holiday and Squadron Spirit. - There will be a team of judges comprised of both adults and children. - Ribbons will be awarded to the top 2 cards, 1st Place and Runner-Up, on Friday, Dec. 4. - All displays must be removed by 3 p.m. on Jan. 4.
