USDA Free and Reduced Lunch Program Published July 30, 2009 ROYAL AIR FORCE LAKENHEATH, England -- The school lunch program is designed to meet federal requirements for nutritionally balanced meals and offer free or reduced-price meals to eligible children. The program is available to children from all military branches attending Department of Defense Dependents schools. Families can apply for the Free and Reduced Lunch Program anytime during the school year by contacting the school liaison office. A family that is not eligible at the start of the school year may reapply as qualifying factors change, i.e. decrease in household income and increase in household size or unemployment. Members who would like to enroll in the Free or Reduced School Lunch Program - must complete the application and submit it along with a copy of their family's most recent leave and earnings statement or pay stubs. Only one application per household is allowed. The application form, USAFE Form 400, can be obtained at local schools or the school liaison office located at RAF Lakenheath in Building 977, Rooms 233 or 234 or electronically via email at 48msg.ccl@lakenheath.af.mil.
