48th Mission Support Group change of command

ROYAL AIR FORCE LAKENHEATH, England -- Col. Cassie Barlow took command of the 48th Mission Support Group from Col. John Clarke in a change of command ceremony June 18. Colonel Barlow is the former European Command, Chief of Manning and Manpower Division, Stuttgart, Germany. Colonel Clarke will become the director of staff for the 24th Air Force. The ceremony was presided over by Col. Jay Silveria, 48th Fighter Wing commander.

The 48th MSG executes expeditionary and in-garrison personnel, logistics, communications, contracting, engineering and services support for U.S. Air Forces in Europe's only F-15 wing. It also provides force protection for infrastructure, facilities and personnel at home and deployed locations, enhances the quality of life and quality of service for military, civilian and dependent personnel assigned to RAF Lakenheath and the surrounding community.
