Maintenance training instructor exemplifies Excellence in All We Do

Staff Sgt. Michael Divietro, 48th Maintenance Operations Squadron maintenance training instructor, was nominated for the Liberty Spotlight by his chain of command because he practices the Air Force core value of "Excellence in All We Do".

Sergeant Divietro displays the core value of "Excellence in All We Do" in every aspect of his assigned duties. Sergeant Divietro applied excellence to our technical order tough book account. He overhauled our continuity program book slashing errors by 43 percent. His efforts resulted in a zero defect rating for our annual account inspection, as well as two monthly 'no notice' inspections by Quality Assurance. His enthusiasm, professionalism and extensive experience in aircraft maintenance, has made him an invaluable asset to our flight, ensuring training needs are met for more than 2,200 personnel assigned to the 48th Maintenance Group.

What accomplishment during your Air Force career are you most proud of?
My greatest accomplishment was being one of seven maintainers selected to partner with Boeing during the Asian Aerospace 2002 Singapore Air show. We showcased the combat capabilities and performance of the F-15E Strike Eagle. I even met the President of Singapore.

What are your personal and career goals?
My personal goal is to complete my Bachelors degree in Professional Aeronautics with Embry Riddle. My career goal is to retire from the Air Force as A Chief Master Sgt.
