48th Civil Engineer Squadron Airman exemplifies Excellence in All We Do Published April 2, 2009 ROYAL AIR FORCE LAKENHEATH, England -- Airman 1st Class Nicholas Scheerer, 48th Civil Engineer Squadron electrical systems apprentice, was nominated for the Liberty Spotlight by his chain of command because he practices the Air Force core value of "Excellence in All We Do". Col Baker Time in Service: 1 year Time at Lakenheath: 4 months Hometown: Kansas City, Missouri Hobbies: Working out, playing sports, listening to music, and hanging out with friends During Airman Scheerer's short period of time here at RAF Lakenheath, he has impressed everybody with his work ethics. It doesn't matter the size of the job, he can be counted on working it enthusiastically from beginning to end. In a recent job, Airman Scheerer provided power to four brand new ovens in the Dining Facility. This job was completed 3 days ahead of schedule. Furthermore, his dedication as resulted in him becoming 2 months ahead of schedule for completing his CDCs. What accomplishment during your Air Force career are you most proud of? I'm proud of my time as guide-on in basic training. It showed my family that I had stepped up to the challenge and was ready to lead the pack. What are your personal and career goals? My immediate personal and career goal is to get my 5 level and to finish my bachelor's degree. But my ultimate career goal is to wear a diamond on my sleeve.
