Tech. Sgt. Amber Godfrey, 18th Intelligence Squadron Detachment 4 NCO in-charge of operations training, was nominated for the Liberty Spotlight by her chain of command because she practices the Air Force core values of "Excellence in All We Do" and "Service Before Self."

Commander: Capt. Daniel Fulk

Time in Service: 12 Years

Time at Lakenheath: 3 years

Hometown: Columbus, Ohio

Hobbies: Spending time with my kids, reading and traveling.

Sergeant Godfrey epitomizes "Service before Self" and "Excellence in All We Do." This is displayed with the enormous amount of time fixing our fitness program, ensuring zero failures since she became the program manager. She comes in on her off time to conduct fitness sessions and mock fitness tests. For her primary duty, she took over the training program two years ago and has completely overhauled the program. Training records now contain CFETPs, and have been made available to supervisors and their Airmen. Her management of this program led to the unit receiving Training Management Team Superior Performer award during our recent unit compliance inspection.

What accomplishment during your Air Force career are you most proud of?
Just getting to where I am today. Twelve years ago I never would have guessed (in a million years) that I would be where I am today without the AF.

What are your personal and career goals?
Retire with minimal time spent away from my kids, hopefully to leave things better off than when I started.
