Contaminated gas on RAF Lakenheath Published March 13, 2009 ROYAL AIR FORCE LAKENHEATH, England -- On March 12 the RAF Lakenheath Shoppette gas station received a contaminated shipment of gasoline. If anyone purchased fuel between 7:50 p.m. March 12 and 8:30 a.m. March 13 and believe they have contaminated fuel do not drive your vehicle. Arrange for it to be towed to a car maintenance facility of your choice. If necessary, rent a car. A reimbursement claim must be filed through the legal office. The issue at the pumps is supposed to be resolved by mid-day March 13. Diesel and gas at RAFs Mildenhall and Feltwell are not affected.
