More than 150 servicemembers and community members arrived dressed to the nines to discuss various topics and happenings in our local community. "The Winter Reception provided an opportunity to exchange ideas and experiences as well as foster friendships between the key leaders in the local civilian community and the RAF Lakenheath base community," said Margaret Clowes, 48th Fighter Wing community relations advisor. According to Ms. Clowes, the event was well supported and greatly enjoyed by both the local community and base leadership. "It is a good idea for us to get together so we can understand what is going on here, and then we can relay that information to our people," said Wyndham Northham, Norfolk County Council. "We are allies and we should always stay that way." In addition to the Winter Reception, the 48th FW also hosts a Spring Reception annually. "I enjoy coming here because the Americans are such nice people," said Mr. Northham. "Every time we come here, all the servicemembers are always so courteous and kind." The event was also attended by Lt. Gen. Philip Breedlove, 3rd Air Force commander and Maj. Gen. Jack Egginton, 3rd Air Force vice commander.
