48th EMS sergeant exemplifies Excellence in All We Do

Staff Sgt. Aaron Thompson, 48th Equipment Maintenance Squadron aircraft structural maintenance craftsman, was nominated for the Liberty spotlight by his chain of command because he practices the Air Force core value of "Excellence in all we do."

Hobbies: motocross, fishing, hunting, and reading.

Core Value portrayed: SSgt. Thompson is a shining example of "Excellence in all we do." Since assuming the duties as primary hazardous material and hazardous waste monitor for the corrosion control section, SSgt. Thompson completely overhauled the hazardous material tracking and handling processes decreasing the hazardous waste output by 40 percent and increasing the efficiency of hazardous material usage. SSgt. Thompson was also responsible for over $780,000 worth of Due-In-From-Maintenance assets returned to the local supply system on-time as serviceable items. SSgt. Thompson's determination and sacrifice exemplify the Air Force core values.
