Members of the 48th Security Forces Squadron Bravo flight joined together to raise almost $8,000 for charities benefiting from the Combined Federal Campaign.

According to the CFC website, CFC is the world's largest and most successful annual workplace charity campaign, with more than 300 CFC campaigns throughout the country and internationally to help raise millions of dollars each year. Pledges made by federal civilian, postal and military donors during the campaign season support eligible non-profit organizations that provide health and human service benefits throughout the world.

"This was the most money raised by one flight in 48th SFS history," said Tech. Sgt. Jermaine Ramsey, 48th SFS Bravo flight element sergeant. "It was a real shock that we were able to make this much money, especially with the financial crunch that everyone is experiencing."

Sergeant Ramsey explained the funds raised by Bravo flight made up more than half of the total amount raised by the entire 48th SFS.

"The Airman and NCO's on my flight wanted to lead the way in helping the wing reach its goal in pledges this year," said Master Sgt. Jason Keyser, 48th SFS, Bravo flight chief. "To do this, they understood that they needed to pledge higher than average amounts."

Sergeant Ramsey said, one Airman in Bravo flight pledged $600 for the year.

"They were inspired by knowing the huge difference their contributions would make to the lives of people and to the organizations that would receive them," said Sergeant Keyser. "I'm proud of each and every one of them for epitomizing the Air Force core value of 'Service before Self'."
