Curbside recycling pickups
There will be no office curbside recycling pickups during the week  Dec. 22  to 26. Normal operations will resume the following week. The satellite drop off points near Taco Bell, at Feltwell and Lakenheath military family housing will be open for drop offs.

Furnishings Management Office
The Furnishings Management Office located on RAF Feltwell will be closed all day on Dec. 25, 26, 29 and Jan 1. For more information, call 226-7154 or 7334.

Holiday post office hours
The post office extended hours are:
-- Finance 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday to Saturday
-- Parcel pick-up 9 a.m. to 6 p.m., seven days a week 

The post office reduced hours are:
-- Finance - Christmas eve, 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.
-- Finance and parcel pick-up New Years eve, 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.
The post office will be closed on Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Years Day.

British Post Office
At the British Post Office, Airmen can pay everything from gas and water bills to telephone and mail orders. The post office also has the ability to cash and deposit checks to select banks, as well as issue and redeem money orders and exchange currencies. In addition to handling money for Airmen, the British Post Office also sells a variety of insurance, from travel to car and home insurance. Airmen can also get a road tax license issued, as well as a selection of Driver and Vehicle Licensing Agency application forms. For more information, visit the British Post Office.

Survivor Benefit Plan
A military retiree is guaranteed a monthly income for life. However, military retired pay stops on the date the retiree dies. The Survivor Benefit Plan was created to protect widowed spouses and dependent children from complete loss of income. For more information, call 226-3070.

Airmen and Family Readiness Center December - January Classes:

Pre-Separation Briefing
A pre-separation briefing will be held on Jan. 6 from 1 to 3 p.m. This class fulfills the mandatory requirement for all personnel retiring/separating from the military. This class should be completed 90 days before separation/retirement.

Financial Foundations
A Financial Foundations class will be held on Dec. 22 from 1 to 3 p.m. This money management class includes goal setting, budgeting, credit and debt management and basic investing.

Sponsor Training
Sponsor training will be held on Jan. 12 from 9 to 11 a.m. All first time active duty sponsors and those who have not had training in over a year are required to attend sponsorship training. The training reviews the basic requirements of sponsorship and provides useful resources to better assist the newcomer.

Employment Connections
An Employment Connections briefing will be held Jan. 20 from 9 a.m. to noon. This class will help you learn about the local labor market and find out what jobs are available on and off base. Personnel specialists will be available to answer questions concerning their hiring procedures.

3-Day TAP Workshop
A 3-day Transition Assistance Program briefing will be held on Jan. 20 to 22 from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. TAP workshops are conducted by professionally trained facilitators. Participants will learn how to write effective resumes and cover letters, interviewing techniques and successful job search methods.

Smooth Move Exit
A Smooth Move Exit briefing will be held on 5 & 26 Jan. 5 and 26 from 12:30 to 3 p.m. Provides a consolidated briefing of relocation services brought to you by Wing agencies such as TMO PAX, TMO Household goods, Finance, Housing, Tricare, etc.

Pet Scoop
A Pet Scoop briefing will be held on Jan. 5 and 26 from 3 to 5 p.m. This class brings in pet specialists to answer questions regarding transportation requirements for pets and to assist military families in properly planning for the shipment of their pets.

VA Benefits Briefing
A VA Benefits briefing will be held on 5 & 23 Jan. 5 and 23 from 8 a.m. to noon. Topics to be covered include; VA Home Loan, Montgomery GI Bill, Vocational Rehab, Disability Qualifications Guidelines, and much more.

True Magic: an A Capella Christmas Farce with Unoriginal Music for the Entire Family
Join the Union Jack Players, with an elf narrator that will lead you through a magical journey, Dec. 12 at 7 p.m. and Dec. 13 at noon. Encounter Santa, Tinkerbell, a man named Ebenezer, a mysterious young magician and a wonderful stringless puppet. This original farce draws from many sources, including A Christmas Carol, the Comedy of Errors, and Peter Pan and is full of mistaken identities, disguises and unexpected twists.
