November deadline for DFP Published Oct. 22, 2008 48th Security Forces Squadron RAF Lakenheath, United Kingdom -- Effective Nov. 1, the new Driving Fuel Permit (White Card) will be the only permanent verification accepted for tax-free fuel at the Army and Air Force Exchange Service fuel stations throughout the United Kingdom. If individuals still need to obtain a DFP, the following documents must be provided to Pass and Registration office: A full V5C British registration document in member's name for each car you own USAFE Forms 4 or 3AF Forms 26 (Pink Card) for each vehicle you own USAFE Forms 435 (Blue Card) issued to your household USAFE Forms 374 (Driver's Permit) issued to your household For Civilians with Componency: A current Passport with a Componency Stamp must be provided or a letter from the Resource Office stating a passport has been sent away to receive a Componency stamp. All United States Contractors: In addition to the requirements above, contractor must bring a passport showing their last entry into the UK, details of their companies name with a contract number and one of the following: Full UK driver's license International Driving Permit with a valid stateside license Passport with a valid stateside license (expiration based on last UK entry) For newly purchased or unregistered vehicles: Any old USAFE Forms 4, 3AF Forms 26, Air Force Forms 75, USAFE Forms 435, USAFE Forms 374, V5C registration documents and any DFP's in possession must be provided. For new vehicles: V5C Registration Document MOT/SVA's (if applicable) Certificates of Insurance covering new vehicle Road Tax Discs for new vehicle Members returning from deployment will obtain their DFP cards as part of the reintegration process. A Power of Attorney is not required for dependants of deployed members, in order to obtain the DFP card. Dependent children of driving age will only receive the Driving Permit as they are not entitled to purchase tax-free fuel. If entitled members do not gain a DFP and pump fuel into a non-registered vehicle, your details will be taken and forwarded to security forces and then to the members commander. All personnel including U.S. and UK contractors and Ministry of Defense employees assigned to RAF Lakenheath must register their vehicles.
