The 48th Logistics Readiness Squadron vehicle and equipment maintenance shop repairs government vehicles for RAF Lakenheath to support the 48th Fighter Wing mission.

Airman 1st Class Alex Andrejkobics, 48th LRS vehicle and equipment repair mechanic, explained they repair all kinds of vehicles in the shop including bulldozers, forklifts, fire trucks, police cars, as well as others.

The vehicle and equipment maintenance shop repairs more than 600 vehicles a year, said Senior Master Sgt Cooper Brantley, 48th LRS maintenance manager.

Sergeant Brantley added, "The importance of the shop is to maintain vehicles on the base so the Airmen are able to continue the wing mission."
