British Post Office
At the British Post Office, Airmen can pay everything from gas and water bills to telephone and mail orders. The post office also has the ability to cash and deposit checks to select banks, as well as issue, redeem money orders and exchange currencies. In addition to handling money for Airmen, the British Post Office also sells a variety of insurance, from travel, to car and home insurance. Airmen can also get a road tax license issued, as well as a selection of Driver and Vehicle Licensing Agency application forms. For more information, visit the British Post Office.

Financial issue
Servicemembers may have noticed a base pay fluctuation between January and March. The fluctuation is due to retroactive pay increase that did not take place until February. For more information, call 226-1851.

Scholarship
The Officer's and Civilian's Spouses Club is offering scholarships to spouses who are working towards a bachelor's or master's degree. Applications are available at the Education Center from now until April 4.

Passport price raise
The U.S. Department of State has increased their prices for tourist passports.

Prices:
- Adult Tourist Passport (initial issue): $100
- Adult Tourist Passport (renewal): $75
- Minor Tourist Passport (age 15 and under): $85

Taxes
The RAF Lakenheath Tax Center is open by appointment only. The hours of operation are Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays, 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. and Wednesdays, 7:30 a.m. to 7 p.m. For more information, call 226-1807.

A Troops to Teachers and University of Phoenix briefing will be held April 15 at 1 p.m. in building 948, room 202.

Education 101
An Education 101 seminar will be held April 21 at 10 a.m. in building 948, room 202. The course is designed to teach the basics of what is involved in voluntary education.

An education fair will be held May 16 at 3 p.m. at the Eagles Landing.

48th Services Briefs

Kid's Jewelry Making Class
Children can create their own jewelry at 48th Avenue April 12 from 10:30 a.m. to noon. Choose from a variety of beads, foam, wooden flowers and heart shapes. Parents must stay with children younger than 12 years of age. Snacks and beverages will be provided. Spaces are limited. Sign up by April 10. 2008 Car Show
The 2008 Car Show is April 26 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. To sign up, fill out the entry form at the Auto Hobby Complex. This event is free to all DoD ID card holders. The car show will take place in the 48th Medical Group parking lot. Prizes will be given for best in show, best paint, best custom interior and ugliest car.

Family Bingo
A family bingo day will be held at the 48th Avenue April 13 at noon. Beverages and snacks will be available for purchase. For more information, call 226-4884.

Late Niter at the Liberty Club
A late niter will be held at the Liberty Club is April 18 from 10 p.m. to 3 a.m. at the Liberty Club at Liberty Plaza. For more information call 226-1611.

Craft Fair 2008
