48th Component Maintenance Squadron change of command

Maj. Tony S. Lombardo took command of the 48th Component Maintenance Squadron in a change of command ceremony Jan. 18. The Galati Mamartino, Sicily native took command from Maj. Matthew C. Finnegan. The squadron has more than 350 Liberty warriors. 

The 48th CMS performs on-and-off equipment maintenance, repair, and calibration delivering more than 80 safe, combat-ready F-15C/D/E aircraft to crew members from three fighter squadrons and the 56th Rescue Squadron's HH-60G Combat Search and Rescue helicopters. More than 350 dedicated professionals in 4 diverse flights directly support the wing's capability to employ a full range of air-to-air and air-to-ground precision guided munitions, fulfilling commitments for the United States and the North Atlantic Treaty Organization.
