With less than 3 months on station Airman Monson stepped up and filled a last minute deployment in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom. His "above and beyond" attitude earned him the Air Force Achievement Medal. He tackles every task with a sense of exuberance and sets the example for all to follow. Why is serving in the Air Force important to you? It is a pride thing for me. I come from a line of family members that served in the Air Force. I couldn't imagine a better job in the world. I love what I do and am proud to serve my country. What accomplishment during your Air Force career are you most proud of? I am most proud of being deployed to Iraq. I am so proud that I could stand next to other brave Airmen and protect out country and earn a medal in the process. What are your personal and career goals? My career goals are to do the best job that I can and to learn as much as I can. My personal goals include doing the best that I can to provide for my family.
