Commissary holiday hours
The following are the holiday store hours for Lakenheath Commissary

Dec. 24 Christmas Eve 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Santa Claus spotting
Santa Claus has been rumored to be stopping by the Lakenheath Commissary Dec. 8 and 16 from noon to 4 p.m. During his visit, digital photos with Santa will be offered to all at no cost. All family members of deployed Airmen can have their Santa photos forwarded downrange.

Airman holiday cookie drive
Volunteers are needed to bake, sort and bag cookies. The OCSC and ECSC need more than 12,000 cookies for distribution to single and deployed Airmen Dec.14. Cookies will be collected Dec. 12 at Eagles Landing from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Volunteers can help sort and bag the cookies at the Eagles Landing Dec. 13 starting at 9 a.m.

Adult Leaders Needed
The Boy Scouts of America are seeking adult volunteers to lead troops and packs at RAFs Lakenheath, Mildenhall and Feltwell. Boy Scout leaders are responsible for directing, coaching and training young Boy Scouts and empowering them with the skills needed to become great leaders and quality citizens. Abandoned vehicles
Security Forces investigations office will remove abandoned vehicles free of charge and without retribution. U.K. specification vehicles may bring the V-5, pink card and keys to Security Forces Investigations at building 1165. U.S. spec. vehicles require a form 5, V-5, pink card and keys. Microsoft Certification Program

WIC Overseas
Women, Infants and Children Overseas offers free milk, infant formula and other foods to eligible families. WIC staff can answer questions about breast-feeding, starting solids and any other questions. For more information, call 226-1728.

Breast-feeding support group
A breastfeeding support group meets on the fourth Thursday of the month at 11 a.m. at the Lakenheath WIC Overseas Office, Bldg 950. For more information, call 226-1728.

Animal welfare officer
The animal welfare officer handles all pet concerns. The AWO provides education and information on owning a pet on a military installation. For more information, call the pet welfare office at 226-5796.

48th Services briefs 

Teen New Year's Party

There will be a Teen New Year's Party at the Lakenheath Youth Center Dec. 31 at 9 p.m. There will be food, music and fun for children ages 13 to 18. The cost is $10 for members and $15 for non-members. Sign up at the Youth Center by Dec. 27. Call 226-KIDS for more information.

All White New Year's Ball
There will be an All White New Year's Ball at the Liberty Club Liberty Plaza Dec. 31 from 8 p.m. to 3 a.m. There will be live entertainment and stilt walkers. The dress code is smart and all white for ages 18 and older. Call 226-1611 for reservations. The cost is $24.95 for club members and $29.95 for non-members. Reservations are required.

Cosmic New Year Celebration
There will be a Cosmic New Year Celebration at the Liberty Lanes Bowling Center Dec. 31 at 9 p.m. Party all night with friends and family and enjoy Cosmic Glow bowling, giveaways, music, snacks and bottles of sparkling cider for each lane.
