Harrell assumed command of the 48th Surgical Operations Squadron in a ceremony July 19. The Landstuhl, Germany native took command of 109 Liberty Warriors in the newly formed squadron. The squadron is responsible for surgical operations in the largest U.S. medical facility in the U.K.
