The United Services Organization kicked off the European leg of its 2016 tour March 16 in Hangar 7 at Royal Air Force Lakenheath.

Continuing its 75th annual worldwide tour, RAF Lakenheath was one of eight overseas performances, bringing along celebrity guests, including Carolina Panthers cornerback, Charles "Peanut" Tillman, Miss America 2016, Betty Cantrell, American country music artist, Craig Morgan and Ultimate Fighting Championship contenders, Anthony Pettis and Donald "Cowboy" Cerrone.

The five celebrities entertained more than 400 attendees with interactive speeches, question and answer engagements and live performances.

"We came out here to show support to all the Airmen and let them know that we appreciate what they do and they aren't forgotten," Tillman said. "I have the ability to play the game of football, the game that I love, just because of what our military does."

Tillman distributed signed footballs during a Q-and-A with the audience, followed by an interactive segment with the UFC fighters.

The evening concluded with live vocal performances from Miss America and Morgan.

"The show that the USO put on was awesome," said Master Sgt. Richard Sole, 48th Equipment Maintenance Squadron assistant flight chief. "I really appreciated the opportunity for my son to receive an autographed football and for my daughter to get to see Miss America in person, along with a show from Craig Morgan, who I'm a big fan of."

Afterward, the performers gathered to sign autographs and speak personally with Airmen and their families during a post-show fan meet-and-greet.

"This was one of the best turn-outs that we've had so far," Cerrone said. "The reaction from the people, their excitement to see us, definitely made this the first of many USO tours for me. Thank you guys for all that you do."
