Core Value Portrayed: Excellence in All We Do

How does the individual portray that core value?
Staff Sgt. Flemmings was nominated for a Liberty Spotlight by Senior Master Sgt. Jason Logue, 48th LRS flight chief of material management. According to Logue, Flemmings has been making a difference at Royal Air Force Lakenheath for more than two years now.  Her drive, determination and ability to anticipate problems before they happen are crucial attributes which have improved her flight and unit. Flemmings helped produce the squadron's best inventory accuracy rate in seven years and cut customer requirement time by 20 percent.  She constantly seeks new ways to improve processes and never hesitates to take the lead or work extra duty hours. She doesn't just display one core value; demonstrates them all. Flemmings' personality, energy and attitude are contagious and filter down to everyone she engages. We could not do what we do without her.

Why did you join the Air Force?
I joined the Air Force because I knew I wanted something better for myself. College was in the cards for me, but I wanted more out of life.

How does your job support the mission of the 48th Fighter Wing?
We provide support to all 48th Fighter Wing units. We store and issue 33,200 assets located in 10 different warehouses worth $729 million.  We procure and provide the assets needed to allow our weapon systems and the Airmen who operate them to complete their missions.

What drives you as an Airman?
My family and those who took the time to develop me and show they truly cared for me as an Airman.

What skills do you possess that set you apart from others?
I always try to see the best in people. I'm able to see more in an individual than what they see in themselves, and I want to bring that out of them.

What has been your favorite place to travel in England/Europe, or where would you like to go?
My favorite place was Crete, Greece. It was beautiful and relaxing. It truly was paradise.
