Core Value Portrayed: Excellence In All We Do

How does the individual portray this core value?
Conner was submitted for a Liberty Spotlight by Tech. Sgt. Arturo De la Fuente, 48th AMXS assistant section chief.

"In my 14 years in service, I have yet to meet a better NCO that displays 'Excellence In All We Do,'" De la Fuente said.

Conner's technical leadership and actions on the F-15E Strike Eagle are key to the unit's success. His excellence is embodied in his ability to train his personnel with a by-the-book mentality in order to produce safe, reliable aircraft. In the last six months, his shift of 10 Airmen has passed 95 percent of their inspections. Conner's portrayal of Excellence in All We Do plays an essential role in the 48th AMXS and is vital to the success of our Air Force.

Why did you join the Air Force?
I was looking for a stable career that would allow me to travel, expand my horizons and build upon my education.

How does your job support the mission of the 48th Fighter Wing?
I help to maintain and deliver the most fully mission-capable F-15E Strike Eagles in the world; enabling the 48th FW mission of providing unmatched worldwide responsive combat air power to support our nation's objectives.

What is your favorite part of your job?
I like troubleshooting and fixing aircraft for next-day flying that directly correlates with the mission.

What drives you as an Airman?
My willingness to help my fellow Airmen succeed is what drives me.

What skills do you possess that set you apart from others?
My ability to put my Airmen before myself sets me apart. They are the mission; taking care of them makes it so they can stay focused. If they are on my shift, I take care of them.

What has been your favorite place to travel in England/Europe, or where would you like to travel to?
Ireland was my favorite place to visit. I enjoyed the sights coupled with learning and following the history of my family.
