How does the individual portray these core values?
Meyer was submitted for a Liberty Spotlight by Lt. Col. Kurt Helphinstine, 494th Fighter Squadron commander. According to Helphinstine, Meyer is a selfless warrior-leader.  He's an expert at his primary job, flying the F-15E Strike Eagle, but goes above and beyond with all of his additional duties.  "When I give him a task, I am confident that it will be accomplished with excellence, the first time, and on time," Helphinstine said.  "This type of work ethic takes dedication and time, and clearly displays how Meyer is living the Air Force core value of Service Before Self."

Why did you join the Air Force?
I joined the Air Force to give back to my country, which has given so much to me.

How does your job support the mission of the 48th Fighter Wing?
I support the 48th Fighter Wing by delivering airpower aimed at our nation's enemies.

What is your favorite part of your job?
My favorite part of my job is delivering combat airpower and saving the lives of American and allies' military members on the ground.

What drives you as an Airman?
The thought that my actions, no matter how big or small, will one day save the life of another is what drives me as an Airman.

 What skills do you possess that set you apart from others? 
My hard work, determination and the belief that we all have potential beyond our grandest imagination set me apart.

What has been your favorite place to travel in England/Europe, or where would you like to travel to?
My favorite place to travel in Europe is Santorini, Greece.
