Liberty Spotlight: Airman 1st Class Page Published Jan. 22, 2015 By 48th Fighter Wing Public Affairs ROYAL AIR FORCE LAKENHEATH, England -- Name and Rank: Airman 1st Class Danielle Page Unit: 48th Logistics Readiness Squadron Duty Title: Stock Control Apprentice Time in Service: 9 months Time at RAF Lakenheath: 6 months Hometown: Cambridge, Minn. Hobbies: Sports, reading, running and volunteering with the local high school Core Value Portrayed: Excellence In All We Do How does the individual portray this core value? Page was submitted for a Liberty Spotlight by Senior Master Sgt. Daniel Guzman, 48th Logistics Readiness Squadron materiel management flight chief. According to Guzman, Page has made excellence her standard from day one. Page completed materiel management 3-level school with a 99 percent grade average, and, in her very short time on station, has played a key role in revamping two neglected high-dollar programs in her duty section. Page's poise and hard-charging work ethic have consistently set her apart from peers. She has also stepped up to serve as a squadron physical training leader and was recently elected to serve as a dormitory council vice president. Since her arrival on station, Page has been recognized as squadron Airman of the Month, squadron PTL of the Quarter, and her dorm room was selected as the 48th Mission Support Group's Room of the Quarter. Page truly embodies the core value of Excellence In all We Do and is truly deserving of this accolade. Why did you join the Air Force? I joined for the opportunity to serve my country, to have my college education paid for and to, potentially, become an Office of Special Investigation agent. My future goals after the Air Force are to become either an FBI agent or Drug Enforcement Administration agent. How does your job support the mission of the 48th Fighter Wing? We expedite aircraft spares to maintain all of our base aircraft and ground support equipment in fully mission capable status. My job plays a significant part in saving millions of dollars for the Air Force by managing discrepancies, initiating follow-ups for overdue shipments of assets and by correcting erroneous transactions. What is your favorite part of your job? My favorite part of my job is helping customers to accomplish the mission. My other favorite part is that you never stop learning. There are so many different sections in my career field that I am constantly learning about different sections, how they tie into my section and then finally how all of us together impact the mission. What drives you as an Airman? I'm driven by being a part of the world's greatest Air Force and its mission while embodying the Air Force Core Values and being the ultimate Air Force poster child. What skills do you possess that set you apart from others? I always aim to do what is right despite others' opinions. I always give 100 percent in everything I do; I rise to the occasion and have the intent of being the best I can possibly be. What has been your favorite place to travel in England/Europe, or where would you like to travel to? Italy is my favorite place I've travelled so far, but I plan to travel all of Europe before the end of my tour with high hopes of even visiting Russia.
