In accordance with U.S. European Command directives, RAF Lakenheath will exercise raising its force protection conditions Thursday morning, Oct. 16.

The increased force protection posture will last through Friday, Oct. 17, evening.

This elevated posture is not in response to any specific threats, but allows the installation to validate its procedures and to account for concerns in the EUCOM area of responsibility. This step is part of our commitment to the safety and security of our personnel and communities.

Increased security measures may cause delays, so please plan your travel accordingly.

As always, it is critical that members of our community remain vigilant and report suspicious activity to local authorities.
