Schaffer is the go-to Airman, demonstrating an extremely high work ethic no matter the task, time, or location. Why did you join the Air Force? I joined because of my interest in aviation. How does your job support the mission of the 48th Fighter Wing? We have our hands in everything, supporting aircraft maintenance units and helicopter maintenance units, phase inspections, the flightline, wash rack support, corrosion control and all other back shop needs. In my opinion, aircraft structural maintenance is the back bone of maintenance. What drives you as an Airman? Knowing how important my job is and the feeling of gratification after completing it. What skills do you possess that set you apart from others? My ability to overcome any obstacle in order to accomplish any task. What has been your favorite place to travel in England/Europe, or where would you like to go? I would like to go to the Isle of Man TT Races, to watch world famous motorcycle competition.
