Lord is consistently volunteering with the Elite Volunteer Airmen Corps. She was also recently awarded the Military Outstanding Volunteer service medal for donating more than 200 hours to various events. Why did you join the Air Force? I enjoy learning and in the Air Force there is a huge emphasis on the value of education. How does your job support the mission of the 48th Fighter Wing? We provide unmatched combat airpower, anywhere, anytime. What drives you as an Airman? I get pleasure from knowing that I have helped someone who truly needs it. It's nice to know I have made an impact on someone's life. What skills do you possess that set you apart from others? I'm 5'2", I fit into places that some of the taller Airman may not be able to reach. What has been your favorite place to travel in England/Europe, or where would you like to travel to? I enjoyed visiting Germany. While I was there, the food and people were very pleasant. I would also like to visit Cape Town, South Africa to see my brother.
