Core Value Portrayed: Excellence in All We Do

How does the individual portray that core value?

Marshall’s dedication to helping others, boosting community involvement and volunteering is a beacon for all to follow. Without question, she gave up one of her Saturdays to assist in the Weapons Community Involvement Day at Royal Air Force Mildenhall. When Operation Warmheart was introduced, she immediately took action by single handedly filling up three forms of sponsors and ran 10 miles during her allotted time. Alone, Marshall raised over $1,300 – nearly one fourth of the unit’s total earnings.

Why did you join the Air Force?

Every reason that an Airman receives: a way to thank the people who served before me, job security, education benefits and the opportunity to travel.

How does your job support the mission of the 48th Fighter Wing?

My job is to ensure 100 percent reliability of munitions on target.

What drives you as an Airman?

Making new friends, having a gym that is so close to both the dorms and my job, and especially the ability to give back. Honestly, I’ve enjoyed doing volunteer work ever since I joined Civil Air Patrol in 6th grade doing community involvement events.

What skills do you possess that set you apart from others?

I'm always striving for improvement on the work that I do by paying attention to detail. I won't walk away from a job until I see it’s done right with or without help.

What has been your favorite place to travel in England/Europe, or where would you like to travel to?

I would absolutely love to go to Barcelona or see the Titanic Belfast in Ireland.
