As an executive member of Airmen Against Drunk Driving, she has spent countless hours managing and chauffeuring Airmen home safely, reducing the chances of alcohol-related incidents and saving lives. From house or baby-sitting, to helping other private organizations support a positive cause, she is reliable and dependable when called upon. Why did you join the Air Force? I joined the Air Force because I wanted a chance to travel the world and see things I wouldn't be able to see as a civilian. Royal Air Force Lakenheath being my first duty station was a great opportunity to make that happen. How does your job support the mission of the 48th Fighter Wing? In the 48th Civil Engineer Squadron, I work as a GeoBase technician. After every construction project, we go out and survey the new features to add to base installation maps. It's essential for our data to be up-to-date, because projects are constantly going on, and first responders need accurate maps to reference. We also need to maintain our database. What drives you as an Airman? My family is my inspiration, and I want to make them proud. That's what drives me as an Airman. I try to do the best I can in everything I do. What skills do you possess that set you apart from other Airmen in your shop? I'm always driven to work and help customers with projects. I especially like to take on the more challenging projects that require us to go off base, or even long terms projects because the outcome will be worth it. What has been your favorite place to travel in England/Europe, or where would you like to travel to? My favorite place to travel was Spain. I've been there three times during my tour here, and every time it has been a different experience! So far, Tenerife in the Canary Islands, Spain, has my heart. I would love to travel to Morocco, Africa. I've always wanted to ride on a camel!
