How does the individual portray that core value?
Grotegut's technical expertise and can-do attitude have been crucial in strengthening the team of the 48th Communication Squadron. During her time at RAF Lakenheath she has developed Management Internal Control Toolset training for 153 squadron members, conducted cross-check schedules and Staff Assistance Visit inspections on 82 checklists, and provided the commander with weekly up-to-date deficiency reports. Additionally, she has completed 80 hours of upgrade training, thus receiving a 90 percent on her cyberspace test. As a member of the quality assurance section, she sets the example as the subject matter expert, inspiring squadron Airmen to portray excellence in their job, programs and training.

Why did you join the Air Force?
I needed to make a change and save money for college.

What drives you as an Airman?
I enjoy when I receive a task or project that makes sense and will benefit the work center by saving time and money.

What skills do you possess that set you apart from others?
I am very organized and like to be one step ahead.

How does your job support the mission of the 48th Fighter Wing?
As quality assurance evaluators, we are each chosen for our subject matter expert knowledge within our specific career fields. This allows us to monitor and ensure equipment and personnel standards are adhered to. We can shape and mold the direction of the unit through our actions.

What has been your favorite place to travel in England/Europe, or where would you like to go?
I took a Mediterranean cruise that went to Italy, Croatia, Turkey and Greece. It was amazing.
